Mexico
Carbon (Graphite)
Mexico has economically important sources of graphite. The United States Geological Survey states that in 2005 it produced 12357 tonnes and in 2006 it produced 12500 tonnes. Total world production of natural graphite in 2005 was 1.04 million tonnes and in 2006 was 1.03 million tonnes.
Sulfur
In 2006, Mexico produced 1.774 million tonnes of sulfur. Total world production was 65.7 million tonnes.
Calcium
In 2006, Mexico produced 936433 tonnes of fluorspar (CaF2). World production was around 5.5 million tonnes.
Reserves of fluorspar in Mexico are thought to be 32 million tonnes.
Mexico's production of gypsum (CaSO4.2H2O) in 2006 was approx. 6 million tonnes. World production of gypsum in 2006 was 142.5 millions tonnes.
Vast crystals of gypsum up to 10 metres in length have been found in the "Cueva de los Cristales" in the Naica Mine in the Mexican state of Chihuahua.

Copper
In 2006, Mexico's production of copper by mining was 429042 tonnes, total world production was 15.1 million tonnes.

Zinc

Silver
In 2007, Mexico was the world's second largest producer of silver, the Proaño / Fresnillo mines being one of the top silver-producing mines in the world. Mexico has been mining silver since 1546.

Barium
In 2006, Mexico produced 199605 tonnes of barytes (BaSO4), the main source of barium. World production of barytes in 2006 was 8.8 million tonnes.
Gold

Mercury
